Exports to suffer

A FICCI survey reveals that 42% of the exporter feel that their performance will suffer in the next six months.

Capacity utilization: nearly two third reported using 80% of the capacity a year ago.

Now only 42% report that they are using 80% capacity

Call centres' Revenues to grow 65 percent in 2007-08

According to Dataquest, the industry posted Rs. 5,200 crore revenues in 2006-07. Captive call centres accounted for 70 percent of it at Rs. 3,598 crore. Outsourced call centres accounted for 1,602 cr. Out of this amount, organized players account for Rs.1,097 crore and unorganised players Rs. 505 crore.

This fiscal they are expected to go up to Rs.8,500 crore (65% growth rate)
